DEALER-LEVEL PROGRAMMING

Smart Key
Programming

We program proximity keys, push-to-start fobs, and keyless entry remotes for all major vehicle brands — on-site, at a fraction of dealership prices.

Smart Key Programming Explained

Smart keys (also called proximity keys or key fobs) use radio frequency technology to communicate with your vehicle. Unlike traditional keys, they must be electronically paired to your car's immobilizer system — a process that requires specialized dealer-level diagnostic equipment.

We use the same professional AUTEL, Lonsdor, and OBD-based tools that franchised dealerships use. This allows us to program new smart keys, add spare keys, and delete lost or stolen keys from your vehicle's approved key list.

Whether you need a Toyota Smart Key, a Ford Intelligent Access key, a BMW comfort access fob, or any other brand — we have the programming capability to do it right, on-site.

Smart Key Questions

What's the difference between a smart key and a transponder key?+
A transponder key has a passive chip in the key head that only communicates when inserted into the ignition. A smart key (proximity key) uses active radio signals to detect when you're near the car, allowing keyless entry and push-button start without inserting anything.
My push-to-start stopped working. Do I need a new key?+
Not necessarily. First we'll diagnose whether it's the key battery, the key fob itself, the antenna module, or a programming issue. Often it's just a dead battery or a key that needs to be re-paired. We'll identify the real problem before recommending a replacement.
Can you add a second smart key as a spare?+
Yes. We can program additional smart keys as spares to your vehicle, up to the maximum number your vehicle's system allows (usually 4–8 keys). Having a spare smart key programmed proactively is much cheaper than replacing a lost one later.
Do you program aftermarket smart keys or OEM only?+
We work with both OEM (original equipment manufacturer) keys and high-quality aftermarket keys. We'll advise you on the best option for your vehicle and budget. For most applications, quality aftermarket keys work identically to OEM at a lower price.
